Anybody know of any good ones, or what you consider to be the best?
Which OS? Brand of processor?
Sorry. Windows XP, AMD 64. Ideally it should work with Intel CPU too.
Speedfan works great for me.
If all you want is a temp sensor, can’t help you, BUT…
Take a look at this. It’s fantastic software that tells you everything you need to know about your machine, and it’s free. (And it has a sensor for GPU, CPU, and motherboard temps, btw. - yer covered. ) I got it free a while back, but the web page seems to have sorta concealed the “home version.” Poke around.
I don’t have an AMD, but, as above, speedfan seems to be a good choice.

Thanks guys, I went with speedfan. Seems to be working fine.
[Edit] Quick question: Which number should I judge my CPU’s temperature by, Temp1 or Core? Temp1 is the value that shows on the system tray monitor, but based on the FAQ the Core value seems to be the on die temperature. Running the CPU at 100% with a render gives me 48 degrees C for temp1, but a Core temperature of 53 degrees C.
