There’s also uploader.polorix.net. You have to register, but any file type is supported, and size limit it 200 MB. Generates thumbnail images as well.

Polorix is profile based, and mine is just something very fast and simple. The idea of it is not having to login or register to share your work. google like minimum interface. all file formats supported

The service is there for you to use only if you want to. Personaly I just want to upload a file to link to others. I have no interest in registering, having to login, or owning an account.
Any site can be hacked, and having a login system makes it no more secure. In fact its less secure because personal information is stored.

This is true for any file hosting service.
My only TOS is use comon sense. You can get a virus anywhere on the internet. If you place porn on the site it will be removed. Its impossible to track all users and data no mater what kind of security you enforce but i will do my best to keep it clean.
I don’t know what you mean by the name is an ad. I had to title it something, blender space seemed appropriate. the domain buysmartpc.com has no commercial product or value, not even a functional root site.
I don’t care if nobody uses the service i put up. But i didnt think i would get flamed for it.

I am just making a point as to problems others before you have encountered.
As these problems have been encountered by many people with the best intentions.
Having a email first log in, whilst a trivial hassle for some can actually help to safeguard both you and your site. The former blender model repository got into legal trouble to the tune of $3000 & the replacement repository was hacked to its near ruination.
My post was intended to warn you of the problems you may encounter, so if you think you can do it, go for it.

Files are stored in a database to avoid file name conflicts. Only I am able to delete them, and I will clear them out after 30 or so days.
I should implement a way for users to mark inappropriate content for me to check out and remove.
Your intentions maybe were good and for the benefit of infurno but, Meta-androcto, be cautious of your wording, it offends, caution is needed on forums, that’s all. Thanks for editing your post! I will PM you!
