Free Furniture/Model Pack im working on!

I have decided to make a model pack containing furniture that can be found in every room of the house, this pack will also include popular appliances

the models will be all for free and with minimal polygon counts with good quality

All models will be released in a pack at the end of may (at elast for the living room or any other set that i get around to making)

The following model is a living room set that can be customized for fairly much any scene

EDIT: sorry about the black spot in the corner of the couch, i only realized it was there after waking up to a 8 hour render and seeing it (to lazy to re render but its now fixed)

Very generous of you. I’ll keep an eye on the pack to see what else you add.

Title: Volo
Verts:2417
Faces: 2012

NOTE: This work is slightly heavy on the poly count due to a lot of tube piping that holds the sofa up… this can be worked around and made lighter if required…

i need some feedback on the quality of these models, also i wouldn’t mind making specific pieces to add to the pack, what would you like to see added?

Your modelling looks pretty nice, but I’m a bit curious on how wide a variety of style you plan to attempt. Especially if you want something “complete” by the end of May.

Just as an example: http://www.everythingfurniture.com/sofa-sectional.html lists over 60 different styled sofas.

Good luck on your endeavour though… The model’s presented so far look good. (far better than I can make)

well all 4 of those models were made within one day, i was thinking of for now including about 10 sofas and 10 of each other item on the list of furniture,

the styles are going to be modern to classic and in total for volume one im thinking of releasing maybe 70 models for the living room area.

one day… excuse me while i bow to your skill. nice work

jessegp, thanks lol, but i am really not that great with 3d work, i just try and it comes out this way ( btw there are artists like robertT, that i would bow down to)

in my mind i think of the gallery section as the robertt show lol

i made 3 coffee tables for now to be added to the pack, will probably make a few more tonight and post them up

Very nice, it’s all pretty clean.

Any chance I could see a .blend with your lighting/render settings?

technically the pack isn’t supposed to be released in pieces as it will kinda ruin the idea, but i can tell you the settings or send you a sample file if u PM me

why dont you try modaling some old good furniture. modern= extremly ugly.
modal somthing with wood carvings and proper joits;)

sure, but then ill be selling it, as it would be 10x more work for me, plus i like modern a lot more, classic is alright and all bur just not my style

great peices vitality

PS. i really like your model of blender in your portfolio, 1 thing though, the ipod should be 2d, so you modeled a 3d program that models 2d in a 3d program

… i think youll get what i mean :stuck_out_tongue:
