Chipp here. Just wanted to let you know I’ve been working on a new glass shader for Blender 2.8 EEVEE.
For those of you using EEVEE, you may discover that it, like Unity and Unreal, have problems accurately rendering glass. That said, there are a few tricks you can use and I’ve created this simple tutorial which shows you how to use my new shader: cwGlass in EEVEE.
As mentioned, this course is a free one, and it comes with a .blend file you can use to import the shader (or wine glass model) into your own Blender 2.8 scenes.
or just go to https://gum.co/cwGlass to download it for free.
If you open the file, you’ll need to BAKE the INDIRECT LIGHTING (see picture) before rendering in EEVEE.
Also, be sure and check out the end of the course for a sneak peak at my upcoming video tutorial series on creating photoreal Interior rendering in EEVEE-- called,
Definitely EEVEE-Definitive Interiors
I’m hoping to have it out before Jan 1 and I’ll be sure and let you know when it’s released.
