and then i went searching for a head to do retopo on and i found this =] too bad you already retopo’ed it =[ but i guess a sculpted head would be a crazy big file

Hi, My test render,
Will shot me if you want!
I played with the lights more than work with textures
after rendering i save as tiff file and take it to gimp for simple color fix.
its a good model to work with plus the textures also helped.
my render is not the bast, after all i was only having fun.
Endi big file really big file! 22.55 MBs LOL!
wow, there are some very nice renders here, thanks endi for releasing this model to the community!
i also did a quick test with my basic cartoon skin shader, and in the second one i just tweaked some ligth and shader settings. the shader is not flexible at all, anyways…
here is the basic cartoon skin shader:
and after some tweaking:
probably some textures would spice this render up, but i just wanted to see some basic colors. also, no nodes where used, no sss, only basic material settings and some procedurals so the render time was about 15 sec.
Thanks a lot man. I’ll be using your head to experiment a little on facial rigging. Got some pretty little trick that I want to try to transfer to Blender

haha! great renders! :))
Ah man, incredible work Endi, I cant believe I missed this! If you could do an in depth tutorial on game texture mapping sometime, that’d be amazing.
If not, just keep pumping the incredible work out
Thanks for sharing, endi.
I opened up the mouth and added some facial bones and shape keys, also some eyebrows, teeth and tongue. teeth and tongue come from makehuman. If anyone wants it, I’ll upload the blend, once I get some more shape keys etc. done. I also used a multi layer SSS shader.
cheers, mate

I converted the psd’s to pngs as well (but left the psds in the texture folder). Saved the .blend with 2.46, with “compress file” turned on.
edit: the eye.jpg file was missing, so I found a replacement.
a test render
i like the new renders, especially the one on the right
