Free UV, Baking, Remesh and GPU Painting Add-ons

I’ve vibe-coded five free, open-source Blender add-ons while working on a production sculpting project:

  • Seam Path Tool — interactive shortest-path seam marking with live previews.
  • UV Island Overlay — displays predicted or actual UV islands and texel density directly on the mesh.
  • Calipers — estimates voxel-remesh cost and warns before potentially dangerous operations.
  • Kiln — a guided high-to-low normal-baking workflow with readiness checks and projection cages.
  • Impasto — GPU-resident, multi-channel PBR painting with layers, masks, fill layers, brush alphas, and live material preview.

Impasto’s primary workflow paints multiple 4K material channels simultaneously. In my five-channel demonstration, it sustained approximately
272–523 brush dabs per second on a Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q.

The tools are under active development and have primarily been tested with Blender 5.1.2 and my own production meshes. Feedback and bug reports
are very welcome.
