Hey guys I just stumbled upon this cool forum. They have some really excellent sounds, and alot of them. Plus, it’s sort of an open type deal, so all the more cool.

Discuss Blender & news about Blender
This is a cool site–actually, I’ve uploaded some sounds to it–but it belongs somewhere else.
Thanks for the info
. I make music with a tracker, so I might have a lot of help from this.
BlackBoe, sample resources are something that animators always use and need, and since Blender is an animation software, it is about Blender. If I was posting about kayaking, or the time i wrestled a 450 lb great white shark off the coast of madagascar, I would definately put it in off topic chat.
So, can I make a topic about the best type of condenser mic, then?
EDIT: Fine, I’m perfectly aware that I’m being a butt. I’ll stop now. XD
If you think condensor mics are news and chat then go for it.
yea it’s a cool site, but i haven’t found many good sound effects yet from it. like i was just trying to find a basic bounce “boink” sound thingy, and after searching through the 200 clips that shouldn’t all be described as “bounce”, i still didn’t have anything.
maybe i’m just bad at searching.
EDIT - haha i am a bad searcher! i just searched “boink” and found some good ones.
BlackBoe the world will be much simpler once everyone realizes I am always right. I just downloaded a huge 35MB sample of time square.
Always right about what? That the site is useful? You’re aware that I’ve been a member of this site for some time, right?
I have used music from ccmixter, this is linked with the free sound site,

For sound effects, I know one site that has a lot of different sounds.

sweet. i’m downloading underwater now.
Hi
Do you guys know a website where one can find some good quality open-source music suitable for the soundtrack of a semi-pro production?
why the question mark, why?
Thanx Roy, thanx Falgor (don’t know why, your comment maybe
)
Blackboe, it fits here i would say, i’d think sound relates to blender fairly closely.
Falgor, because its the second time in the same post that I pointed out ccmixter. Sorry if it confused you.
Waow… ccmixter.org is exactly what I was looking for
Thanks very much lads…
