I have been learning how to use materials in blender lately and have found that i can creat much more realistic textures with them then i can in photoshop. However I need to uvmap it and have a different texture file. So is there any way i can make my material into a flat image that i can save (ive already done the uvmapping) thanks
In 243 there’s this thing called Render Baking that does just that, and it is full of joy.
ive already done the uvmapping
That doesn’t make sense somehow?
In the Scripts window under UV you find Texture Baker. If you unwrap the mesh in UVFaceSelect mode and run the script the Material Texture will be baked to an Image file (format and save directory you set in F10).
