Fun with procedual microdisplacement!

Hello! i played a bit around with microdisplacements and procedual textures and got some interesting results.

I agree these look very interesting, microdisplacements and procedural textures are yet more features I want to investigate!

woaaaah thats really cool

Hi, this definitely worth to investigate a bit. Well done.
I am just afraid of level of control - trying few things with microdisplacement myself and at one point I was struggling to find a proper value where objects were touching each other.
But overall - VERY impressive.

The microdisplacement tool have alot of potential, but you are right there are a bit lack of controle, because the viewport needs to get updated manually.
Also the subdivisions for the results getting a bit high. And blender tends to chrash more often in the experimental mode, especially with GPU rendering.
But with a bit mor developing it could get an helpful tool.
