I can’t install my fx5200 in an AMD 64 with Kubuntu 64.
I need hardware performance for this graphic card but it´s only use a software acceleration.
What’s wrong ?
You probably need to install the proprietary nvidia drivers. They aren’t installed by default.
Just install “nvidia-glx” package and change driver in xorg.conf. For desktop-effects (Compiz or Beryl) you probably need a few more settings.
If you were using “normal” Ubuntu you could use the new “restricted driver manager” to make all the changes to xorg.conf with one click. Or you install it on Kubuntu, but i think it needs Synaptic, so you’ll have to install it too…
