I’m following the ‘Modeling the Female Body Series’ at Blender Cookie but using male references with the intention of using the model for a blender game. This is my progress so far …
I intend to then texture and rig the model so that I can use him in the Game Engine tutorial on Blender Cookie. All constructive criticism welcome.
His legs are a bit wobbly. Watch out his arms are not to short. Also watch the topology at the armpits, but it may work out.
The legs are the way the tutorial left them in the first part, hopefully in the second part I get to smooth them out a bit.
The Tutorials are good for learning the mechanics, but my personal advice is, that you also should watch yor own body, your own anatomy and try to figure out how the particular parts of your body work together and imitate it for the modeling process, 'cause that way your Models will get a much more lifelike feel to them.
Good advice! By the way, the arms aren’t short, it’s just the angle. The reference image I have has the arms bent.

Some progress, I’ve restarted this model a bazillion times but I think I’m going to stick with this one, all c.c welcome!
