Game engine - convert hair to mesh at runtime

Hello! I’m not sure if this is in the right forum, or if im allowed to post a request, but i had a thought which would be useful to many people I’m sure :). Would it be possible to write a python script that would convert the hair to a mesh at runtime. There could be an option that would allow for the new meshes to be combined into one.

This would be great because then people could test out hair configurations without having to convert it to a mesh before running the game, and then undoing it after. If anyone would be able to write this, that would be awesome! :D. Once again though, if requests are not allowed, feel free to lock this thread :).
