I am developing a Python module for the Game Engine.

Whenever I fix a bug in my code and attempt to re-run the game engine, it crashes. What is causing this problem and how can I fix it?

Thanks!

As per usual, you have to show us some trigger. If we were aware of the issue, we’d have reported it if it were a bug. Therefore, it is statistically likely that your error is because of either (a) a new bug that only you’ve discovered, or (b) a misuse of the software.
Please upload your file! We shall take a look and help you solve your error.

My module imports a fairly large number of other python modules that I am tweaking so my file probably won’t work on your systems without a fair amount of setup. But if you are willing to look at ugly code I can upload it - my initial reaction was that I was just misusing Blender somehow.

But I can attempt to provide some details on how I am getting this problem in OSX:

- start blender
- I have matplotlib, numpy, and my custom python library placed in /Applications/Blender/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/2.64/scripts/addons/modules/
- run game engine calling my custom python library
- it runs just fine.
- change anything and save (i.e. add a line to the python script, edit my 3rd party module, add a cube in 3D mode)
- I then get the following error:

> terminate called throwing an exceptionAbort trap: 6

I am running Blender 2.64 on OSX 10.7.5, using Blender’s default python3.2 environment.

UPDATE : the problem still occurs if I don’t change anything and then attempt to re-run the game engine again.
