since I am developing a game engine for myself, I am also very interested in the Blender Game Engine and maybe I would like to contribute. Since I am a skilled C/C++ programmer with a good knowledge of OpenGL and of course Blender Itself (Know it since 2.23, did several mini games and countless images) But there are a few questions whose answers are hard to find here, even with the search function.
My Questions:
-Is there any good ressource for the Blender Game Engine (mainly its technical background) and its current development state?
-Who is actually involved in the Game Engine Development and where can I find those people?
-Are there any other game engines around which are going to be integrated in Blender?
-Are there any future plans for the BGL?
Maybe someone can me point to the right direction.
At least, those are the ones I know of. Erwin is the main developer from what I understand.

Not to my knowledge. There is “Crystal Blend”, but that’s a plug in.

If you mean the “BGE” (Blender Game Engine), then the answer is more than likely no.
Erwin seems to be working exclusively on the physics engine.
Snailrose has been working on integrating OGRE, but he’s only one man, and it’s been months at this point since the project was initially announced.
In other words: Your best guess is as good as mine.
