Game Engine Fonts Archive

(ST150) #1

I’ve spent the afternoon processing some fonts using ftblender. Many of them came out unusable or didn’t work at all, but several came out perfect.

Since there isn’t anything similar in existence (correct me if I’m wrong), I thought I’d start an archive of working game engine fonts. There aren’t many in it yet, but I will keep adding to them.

Enjoy!

THANKS!!! It’s just what i need!!!

Btw, I also wrote today a tutorial about how to make your own font for blender. If someone feels he could use it, just say and I make it available for online view. :stuck_out_tongue:

(aleks42) #5

Please do so !!!

hopefully it doesn’t need the use of “ftblender”

(JD-multi) #6

Well actually you have to use ftblender, but it’s really easy how to create a tga file with the font inside it. I wrote it so, that even a very beginner can use it.

Added several more fonts to the archive today. You might need to refresh the page to see them.

It’s quite slow work processing all the .ttf files to find working ones, but hopefully this will be helpful to other people looking to customise their games.

Woohoo, 2 thumbs up for Andy83. Hehe, I never got bfblender working, maybe I just didn’t try hard enough. It’s great news to here there’s more than 1 tga font for blender now. This must go into the game archives.

thanx for your arduous work Andy83. it is true 99% of the fonts i have for GE are unsusable.

(Sutabi-old) #16

Some fo your fonts are really spaced out… I try to use them and its like 4x spaced out…

(lemmy) #17

scale in editmode, that should fix it.

(Sutabi-old) #18

… if I scale the letters are so tiny and still far apart…

(z3r0 d) #19

if they are too far apart you scale up the mesh in edit mode [letters will get bigger, but spacing will stay the same], then scale down to the proper size in object mode
