Game Engine Rain

Im trying to simulate rain in the game engine.
Any tips on how to do so?

There was a rain effect made a while ago.

We tried to find out why his rain kept turning out black  (which turned to be from a lamp in the layer!)

here is yet another method of doing rain,
http://www.savefile.com/files/910166

it lets you render hundreds of raindrops with using only a few polys .

Here is how I made the texture:

you might want to experiment with foreground scenes for weather effects, it can help speed thing up sometimes. (it takes some experimenting, some things dont look so great in foreground)

hope that helps!

When you change the camera to see the sky, the rain can’t see it correctly.

:o

Are you trying a foreground scene? if so you will need a mesh object in the sky, or a backdrop scene (you will still need some type of mesh in the sky.)

my next break I will see if I can make a new demo for you guys, the one I did last night was rushed in about 10 minuets.

Actually I just, stuck to one wheel, and duplicated it and moved it forward,. Then I made the rain smaller, and much slower.

Then I parented both of the wheels to the camera and when you look up it looks fine, at least in my example.

thanks all you guys

this will help me a lot!!!
