Can the game engine (Blender 2.58) play 2 sounds at the same time? I can’t play chords on my piano I made.

Sure it can. You need two Sound Actuators, each linked to its own Controller a Sensor.
Or upload the .blend File here by going onto that Button »Go Advanced« next to »Post Quick Reply«. There you will find a File Manager where you can upload your .blend File and attach it to your Post. It is a bit confusing at the first Time, but by showing the .blend you give People the best Opportunity to look at your Problem directly.
piano_sound.blend (1.87 MB)
Here is my blend file (if the upload works). I made all the sound actuators Play Stop and sometime 2 notes will play at once the first time but not again and no more than 2.
thank you C.A.ligari
I agree the sound is a bit crappy but I was doing it mainly for the exercise to see if I could. It is surprisingly hard to find good sounding piano sounds on the internet so I guess I’ll just have to sample some. I think some of my sounds were a bit strange because I didn’t have a complete set so I used the 1-12 pitch to make the ones I wanted which I didn’t have. I assume each step is a semitone.
As to the pepper build, I don’t know what it is but I will learn. It’s all a big learning curve . The lmore I know the more there is to know.
Thanks again
About the »What it is« (Pepper):
Blender is, as you know, an Open Source Tool. So, there are People workin’ on Ideas to manipulate that Source Code as to modify the Blender or even enhancing the Game Engine, as far as possible. When someone makes Changes to the Sourcecode and therefore make a unique Blender Build with new or different Features, that is not official, but it is a »Branch« then. The »Pepper Branch« is one of these Branches that are modified towards better Game Development Capability, so if you are makin’ Games with Blender you might, at one Point, consider takin’ some Looks at these Branches, since they offer better Functions for Developing and also might enhance the Capabilities of the Game Engine. Since Realtime Audio is pretty much a Game specific Matter, the official Blender Builds (always rather directed into Rendering Capabilities) are less in Need of supporting those. So, the Pepper Branch, aiming for Game Development, has cleaned out the Sound Bugs of the official Build.
Among others.
I downloaded and installed >>win32-Level-of-Detail-vc.zip<< which I guess is the link you pointed me to (pepper tree version) and YES my piano played better here. I can play 2 note chords but not all 3 note chords. Is it because mine in 64 bit computer and I’m running Windows XP 64 bit?
But one final request please, how can I export as an exe file. There is nothing in the Export section and in User Preferences > Add-ons, Game Engine has disappeared. I tried exporting it n 2.58 stable build and saved the exe file in the Blender program folder but it still gives me error messages.
Thank you for your help so far. I hope I am not being too much of a pest.
