Hey folks, I just finished this one and I wanted to share. It’s an urban sci-fi landscape with obvious winks to Blade Runner vibes and those advertisements that give the movie such a special atmosphere. I modeled most of the buildings here (including the main two), and some of the background ones are coming from asset packs. The lasered advertisements
This is a mixture of passing the desired image through an old CRT screen pattern. The trick is to make sure the ad/image is only shown through the lasers, and for that the key is the color burn mix mode in the color mix shader. I’ll leave a screenshot below in case someone wants to replicate.
