I will post more pictures soon, Like with him in dynamic poses, doing backflips and stuff. Tell me what you think!

edit—

here’s another one, matrix style! 8) (yeah, I know it’s copying, but at least I’m not selling it)

as always tell me what you think!

From what can be seen, it looks very good.

Some crits:

  1. You need shadows. The gecko is not casting any shadows at all and it seems that there is no shadows on the rock.
  2. Make it a little brighter. Can’t really see anything right now.

Keep up the good work.

Looks good. Long cast shadows would be excellent.

Pretty good start. I have a few comments and suggestions.

Lighting is hurting this image the most. Did you use a GI Dome?
In this case, it gives the scene a flat appearance, lacking contrast.

Take a look at Carles Piles’s Environment: Lizard & Bug thread on CG Talk.
You can take some cues on how to set up your lighting (if you plan to tweak your render at all). I’m not saying to duplicate his work, just examine his techniques.

I would like this image better if you modeled the clouds in Blender vs. using a background image. Also, try making your rocks/clifs a little more detailed.

Lastly, I would like to see you tweak your textures some.

Good work overall. Organic modeling is not easy. I like the Gecko.

That is good, good modelling of the Gecko, im not to sure about the sky map tho, it looks like the clouds are pointing downwards.

I updated it!

More lights please. Add some sunglasses

i’m with them on the light thing but also shouldn’t there be more specularity because of his slimy skin?

very nice though!

must be one of them magic - eye things. i cant see the damn gecko. rocks are pretty cool, sky is too low res and the matrix one is… black…

Oh, well my monitor is really bright, so that must be why. I’ll fix them

YAY!! go Geckos!!

need…more…geckos…

also the first one needs shadows. but someones probably said that…

keep it up!
