Generating a volumetric 3D shape from mask images

I thought I’d seen something like this in here but have lost the link and haven’t had much luck in my experiments. I want to get black & white images (front side and back) project onto something like a volumetric area so that it generates the “best fit” shape cloud. I this can be done in real 3D view (as opposed to just the render) it would be useful as a starting point to modeling from silhouetted blueprints.

That’s on the right track. There was a thread (if I recall correctly) where someone managed to have black and white front, side and top projection images and they ended up forming a shape in the middle.

Brilliant eppo… without even reading through it, those screenies are undoubtedly the lost thread I was looking for.

Thank you
