Generative furniture product animation

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on this forum and my first actual project in Blender.

I’m migrating from Modo, and I believe now that the journey is complete, because now I’m quite comfortable with Blender.

This video is about the possibilities of applying generative principles to furniture design.

These chairs have exactly the same building block, however, each structural layout is determined automatically by a sequence of carefully tuned modifiers.

Well, that’s it. Looking forward some feedback…I’m still struggling with key frames, the graph editor, etc…Any tips on how to make things smoother will be highly appreciated.

Actually, all tips are welcome.

Oh, the whole thing was rendering in Eevee, by the way. Edited in Premiere. Weird sound track is composed by yours truly as well.

Thanks!
