Agree with everyone! Awesome idea and nice renders. If there’s much to improve than this: try to get the scales into the geometry. You use a lot of bump, try reducing it a bit and add a displacement for the scales. You might also want to experiment with microdisplacement, it allows you to add bump and displacement at the same time
