So I created both a model and rig for animation and when I parent them together the right eye gets this warning message:
Bone height weighting failed to find a solution for 1 or more bones.
(The eye is a separate object)
It gets parented but no bones can move it.
It’s odd because the other eye is a duplicate and it has no problems.
I think I’ve fixed this problem in the past with custom weight painting but this does not fix the problem now, no matter how many times I redo it, the eye is highlighted as though it should be parented but it has no effect.
Everything should be fine, rotation, transformation and scale are applied. The eye has no modifiers. It has a good set origin and nothing else should be effecting it.
At this point I’m lost as to what to do, I’ve tried everything I know and every solution I can find online and none of it worked.
