GeoTree: Procedural Trees in Geometry Nodes

I’m gonna throw out a question for you all here, hoping someone’s a little more versed in animation than I am.

How closely does the armature have to match the overlying mesh? Is there some room for play here, like the armature will effect the geometry within a certain distance of a bone, or does it have to be exact? I’m not expecting super detailed results from this, just that these bones correspond to this branch, and will wiggle it back and forth in a stiffish manner.

How would this work?
