Getting a skinned metarig from rigify's IK controller rig?

I have some models I like to use and port to a game engine I like. But the models seem to only be rigged to the IK curve controllers, like these http://i2.wp.com/blog.digitaltutors.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Blender_Rigify_Final.jpg?resize=800%2C450

I want the skeleton that looks like this, since that’s what the game engine im using needs.

The model I get does have a skeleton like that, but when I pose it, the model doesnt move with it all. So I assume that means that the model isn’t skinned to it at all. Is there a way to get the rigging from the IK controllers to the plain skeleton thats named “metarig”?
