Hi,
attached is a blend with a plane with z scale animated by f-curves using a standard sine modifier. I need help getting the action to run smoothly using Logic Bricks. Is there some fps time calculation I need to make?
Hi and thanks for looking at this,
on my machine the moving plane disappears for a moment every cycle when ‘p’ is pressed. It’s fine in the time line. It’s also still there in play mode and holding the cube up but, even at the settings you suggest (which I tried originally) it doesn’t loop smoothly. I’ve got a decent nvidia card, 2.74 and the bge is set to 60 fps. So I thought it might be a timing issue there. I’m attempting to make some moving mud in a simulation and this gives the best feedback between the object and the plane, if I can get the in game loop to be smooth.
The attached image show my set up and I’ve pasted in the two different views of the cube/plane when ‘p’ is pressed.
Edit. i was able to workaround the issue by setting the action actuator’s frame parameter to start from a higher number than ‘1’. It’s working well and I’ll check whether this is still a problem in later versions of Blender. I kept 2.74 because easy emit add-on work with it.
