Getting Blender Render to look a bit more like Cycles Render?

Hello. I’ve been using Blender to make a few models and scenes for a game and I’ve noticed a massive difference between Cycles and Blender render.

The game engine I use sadly only properly accepts Blender Render, but Cycles Render has such a cute art style when rendered that I am really sad to see it go away, because Blender Render renders a sharper, darker and more “menacing” scenes.

Any tips/tricks to get the two to look as similar as possible without tweaking lights? (I’m going to have the lights be generated in-engine). Thanks!

Maybe these can help you? (These are rather old resources though, not many newer posts/pages to do with Blender Internal these days, as far as i know anyway)

Thank you very much!
