Hello, I’m new to the forum.
I’ve been using Blender for a long time, but recently I’ve had to start learning Rhino so I can do Nurbs modelling for rapid prototyping. I’ve got an Autocad background so I’m finding it easy enough to pick up. Now I’m getting my head around Nurbs I’m realising how useful they are.
I’d really like to do some raytraced animations with the nurbs models I make. I’m aware that this can be done in Rhino by using Flamingo and Bongo, but I’d really prefer to do this in Blender if possible. I don’t want to go down the path of converting the Nurbs to polygons if I can avoid it. I’m aware that there isn’t a working .3dm importer for Blender yet, is there another Nurbs file I can export from Rhino that Blender can handle?
