Getting weird wrinkles when subdividing

I subdivide one face, no problem.

I subdivide the other face, and it just gives me wrinkles instead.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

N-gons and Subdivision just hates each other. In other words, in order to use Subdivision you have to have mesh consisting of quads - faces with 4 corner vertices.
To model quick, n-gons (faces with more than 4 corners) are fine. It’s that after you have to cut them in quads to not to run into similar issues.
