Gibson SG Guitar

Hey guys!

Here’s the result of my WIP thread found here:

-Pearl inlay texture by Nphx:…ture-124784760
-Anisotropic texture by iynque:…shed-267637258

Everything else done in Blender 2.69, including most of the graphics, rendered in Blender Internal

EDIT: Please see post #8 for the DOF render

Just enough cow bell.

Very nice.

I really like the color you ultimately went with on this Vicky, it turned out great. You need to think about investing in some 3d guitar stands.

@Anthony C: Haha! Thank you!

@harleynut97: Thanks! I do indeed!

Any plans for a Yafa version?

@Anthony C: Probably not at this point

Great job Vicky, turned out great. really liking the render!

FINALLY finished the DOF render I wanted, all done in Blender, rendered in BI:

@DarkLimit: Thank you very much, Robert!

Really fine work and the DOF render is fantastic.

@minoribus: Thank you so much!

Just great gal and the extreme depth of field makes it a well done illustration in my book along with the composition of course. I can imagine this being used to illustrate a story. And, I won’t even mention the use of BI.

@theoldghost: Thanks very much! This one was a lot of fun, always wanted to make one but my modeling skills were lacking, to say the least

Looks great! But, with that close up in post #8 the strings don’t look real when you zoom in.
You should add in those little gaps like this (in red)

Other than that…Brilliant

@Nathan.Ferguson: Thank you very much! I was actually referencing this picture for the strings (it’s an Epiphone, so not the same model, but strings are strings :)):
I figured the 3 wound strings would be out of focus, so, no excuses, just laziness on my part LOL! Thanks again, I really appreciate the comment!

The level of detail here is mind-blowing. Really well done.

@joekneale: I really appreciate that, thank you!
