Gimp...

I’ve seen a couple mdention gthis program. Most notibly, BugMan2000.

It’s your favorite newbie. LOL. I have that program. Is there a web site and tutorials for that also?

Thanks.

Oh, BugMan, I’m really enjoying the tutorial for Blender you gave me. HUGE help!

http://google.com

everything on there

http://good-tutorials.com (wait im not sure about that one)

This is the blender general i think you’re meant to ask questions about blender not about gimp but oh wells.

personally i dont like GIMP, get Adobe Photoshop CS.

The Gimp is free, as Blender is.
Photoshop CS 2 isn’t, just as Lightwave or Maya aren’t.

I went from Photoshop to Gimp after migrating to Linux, and I found that it works perfectly.

You can find a lot of tutorials on www.gimp.org, gug.sunsite.dk, www.gimptalk.com and other sites…

Google is your friend!

And while you’re at it, get Maya and ZBrush instead of Blender, I heard it’s, more powerful!

Sure, I’ll get them. Got cash you’re giving out? LOL

Chits expensive.

Let me tell you a little story.

The first photo manipulation program I ever used was Paint Shop Pro, I thought it was really good, and at first I thought it was even better than Photoshop even though I hadn’t tried it.

I tried Photoshop, and still liked Paint Shop Pro better for a while, but then I got a real copy of it, and after using it for quite a while, I then thought that it was way better than Paint Shop Pro.

A few months ago, I downloaded blender, and I read a bit on this forum, and found something they called the “GIMP”, so I thought I’d give it a try. At first I didn’t like it at all, everything was so clumpsy I thought, and not in “one window” as in Photoshop. But after a while, I got more used to it, and now I prefer it.

People don’t like change, but change is a good thing. Especially when it’s open source.
