Giselle character sculpt

I came up with this character sketch from a doodle the other day, and am now attempting to sculpt her in Blender. Her name is Giselle, and she is an excellent Au Pair with a slight character flaw related to impulse control

Not aiming for an animatable character, so I’m sculpting the facial expression and pose directly. First time doing that, wish me luck

So far, I’m done with the head and basic hair shape (minus hair strands), now going for the pose with very simple body, which I want to model the clothing onto.

Lovely charming Lady . At least she keept the apron mostly clean, right?
Keep going, will keep an eye on this.

Thank you!

I think she has experience with that kind of stains  Progress is slow, hope I can post an update soon…thanks for encouragement!

Finally had time to give her hairdo some love  Next, dressing her up.

The project didn’t die, I just couldn’t spend much time on it. And I totally underestimated all the things I have to model - such as shoes with laces, her hands and the chainsaw (which you can’t see in the design sketch, but in 3D … sigh). Going to tackle the apron next.

She is a cute character. Have you thought about dropping the chainsaw? It would save you work and I know the “story twist” would change, but I think it could still be great.

Thanks! The hardest part is actually done, I hope - setting up a chainsaw mockup with a handle, tweaking the pose and hands to achieve a realistic grip. Quite a lesson! From here on, it‘s only improving the geometry on those parts, and I‘ll not go berzerk on the chainsaw

I didn’t notice the chainsaw in the 2D design until you mentioned it.

More progress, here’s a turnaround!
