Hello, people. I am new to this site and new to 3D modeling in general.
I am hoping to see if anyone would like to give me some feedback on this WIP Female model.
I’m have some problems with seeing all of the obscurities with this so it would be much appreciated for someone to critique me.
This is my model. Sorry in advance for the low resolution, my computer doesn’t even run blender right.
I’m going to assume that you’re aiming for a western animation kind of cartoonish style, judging by the eyes, nose, and the overall shape of the head. Perhaps if you give some examples of what kind of look you’re aiming for, I can give more specific advice on what to improve.
Off the bat, I see several things that could use improvement. First, the arms and the lower half of the legs are too thin. They almost look like sticks instead of limbs. The legs should be longer and the arms should be a little shorter than that. The indentation in the back is too much; it makes her look like her back is crooked/has problems. Make it less indented. The thigh gap is really big, but you can probably get away with it because of your cartoonish style if you apply the rest of the tips. However, I would still suggest lessening it. The breasts are a little too low on the body and look like orbs protruding from the chest. You should probably try to smooth the area where the breasts and torso meet so it doesn’t just bulge. You might need to indent the armpit a little more as the way they connect to the torso doesn’t look right either.
You’ve done a great job on the head, which is impressive as the head is often one of the most complex parts of the body to model.
