Giving python scripting a try. Adding Mark and Clear Bevel to Ctrl-E menu.

Had much help from scouring previous posts on various things such as registering an add-on within the system and getting down the idea of operators in general.

So here’s something I thought Blender was missing. A way to clear (or add) bevel tags from edges quickly, instead of having to go back and select each one via ctrl-clicking everywhere. :stuck_out_tongue:

Crits, comments, flames, praise, hate and adoration (mostly crits and comments) welcome.

EDIT:
This script was just brought to my attention (h/t to liero):

Looks like it does quite a bit more than mine. I’ll keep going on this one though. I’ve got some ideas for it.

Many thanks, seems to work ok. If you could also add a bevel weight as well to the edges then that would be even better.

Richard

Consider it on the list for v1.1

+1 bevel weight

that other script is not working… a simpler and stable one would be useful
it could even check if there is a bevel modifier and put it in weight mode…?

Hello everyone. I have a scripting update. I’ve created a panel that sits in the Tool shelf and allows you to move or copy edge tags from one type to another. Try it out and let me know if it helps you out (Or if someone else got here first  ). Select your source tags and your destination tags, then copy or move them.

File is here: www.danielturton.net/scripts/edge_panel.py

As usual, Cs and Cs are welcomed.
