Glare on a UV-wrapped texture?

Imagine a cube, black.

UV unwrap it. Add a procedural texture to it; any one.

Add an image texture to it as well: a transparent PNG with a picture of a green dot in the middle.

Result? A textured cube (probably cloudy and pink) with a green dot on each face.

Is there a way to add a blur/glare to the dots only in the compositor?


Sure. You could key pink (i.e. the color of the dots) and use the resulting mask to create blur/glare/whatever.

I’m kinda lazy right now so if you post a screenshot I can give an example.
