glass casting shadow

ok so im i dont want this glass material i have to cast shadows. right now i have a small ammont of ray mirror, and i have a ray transparency for some curved glass distortion. i have played with the shadow buttons in the shaders tab and i still get nothing. also for my lights they are spots using ray shadow, and amb occ is on, if that counts for anything.

I suspect what you’re wanting is to turn up trashadow on the rose so it can recieve transparent shadows instead of looking black. If it’s because you don’t to give away your models that you didn’t post the blend file, then replace them with primitives… there are several things which cause shadows and you’re leaving us guessing.
