Here is a nice glass of wine I made

Make the background color whitish grey, the red blends with the wine that is pouring into the cup. Also the cup looks huge, but that might be the perspective. Nice material on the bottle.

A couple things:

  1. As stated above the red background makes the wine indistinct, changing the background to white would help a lot.
  2. It try rotating the bottle (I would start with 45 degrees towards the glass) It looks somewhat strange for the bottle to be directly facing the camera.
  3. whatever is pouring into the glass is huge, reducing the size of the stream would make it look more natural.

As an additional note, looking up the glass from underneath (at a steep angle) or down on the glass would make a more interesting image than looking at it from the side. This image has a lot of potential, looking forward to seeing progress on it.

Ive never done glass myself , Im sure its tricky to get done right. the reflection seems a bit matt … it might be the translucency is not enough … i dunno. anyway good job so far

Yes the wine glass is closer to the camera and the bottle is further away

Actually, the problem with the glass isn’t that it isn’t transparent enough, in this shot it is reflecting the white behind the camera too much, stopping you from seeing what is in the glass.
