Good Modeling Pratice

Now I’m sure this has been asked before(can’t get the search to work), but does anyone know a good subject with available reference so I can focus on topology? I am stuck in a sort of really advanced n00bism and I get stuck every time I embark on a more serious project. I am terrible with planning and getting good refs and so forth. Inorganic, maybe a car or plane or piece of machinery. Or whatever you guys think would help get some good modeling practice. Links appreciated in advance

Read the whole thing, then read it again.

Do some modeling, then come back and read it again.

Rinse and repeat.

For mechanical modelling my Precision Modelling Guide might be useful.

All right, I’m modeling a Boeing 747-400. I am going to try to make it my most accurate and detailed model ever, so expect to see it up in the wips soon. And I have seen those resources before, they’re great, and I will be sure to follow the advice in them.
