Good picture host?

What would be my best option for a picture hosting site(preferably free)? I just started using blender, and I would like to be able to show some work and get critiques, etc.
Thanks

It’s not free, but I’ve been using Mr. Hostbot. All the space that you want. All they charge you for is bandwidth, and that starts at $6 US for 1GB… and I think it gets cheaper for larger amounts.

bah, you can get a host that is $5 for 5Gb/month (with all sorts of server programming stuff on top)

I’ve noticed that netscape doesn’t block externally refrenced images, but uploading to them (well, unless you can ftp, which I couldn’t from home until last week) can be a pain.

they do some annoying things with ads too, but it doesn’t apply to the images.

My preference is my earthlink “free webspace” which although only 10Mb is included with my service, I believe has 3Gb /month (maybe it is 2 or 5?), and doesn’t have ads if I want to put pages on there (I do, but I will not say where)

Really? Where? Not that I doubt you, I’m really interested ot find out. The hostbot worked for me because I wasn’t really interested in a place to put a website… I just wanted a place to put files. I paid for the account two n’ a half months ago and although I’ve put up a lot of files (images, video clips, pdfs, etc.), I haven’t even used half of the gig of bandwidth. The rate’s not monthly. You pay for what you use, no more.

If you can get that plus server-side scripting and other goodies for $5, I’d definitely be interested in seeing that.

though I don’t know if I will go for service with more data transfer (20Gb) for $8 a month, do I need 5 mySql databases, or is 1 enough. though ssl and ssh is tempting…

for just a little under $10/mo check out hostrocket.com. Web space + a lot more.

heh

I cant remember how many times this question have been posted, we should have sticky posts at every forum about this, and hopefully people will read it!

I know :stuck_out_tongue:

Not bad as a full host… but I was looking for something that I only have to pay once for. That one is good, but it’s $5 a month, versus the one-time $6 I had to pay.
