Good Screen Recording Software for Linux?

So, i have been using gtk-recordmydesktop for sometime and for some reason the frame-rate seems to be too high on playback. is there any way to get a decent framerate for playback?
Also do you know of any other softwares similar to this for ubuntu linux?
Thanks.

This script works great: http://www.davidrevoy.com/index.php?article65/recordscreen-py-video-and-audio-capture-for-linux-with-ffmpeg

Thanks for that link.

Or RecordMyDesktop, maybe?!

Bye

OTO, recordmydesktop is good too, but the output that it generates for some time now is somewhat corrupted, so if you try to edit the videos with Blender or directly upload them to youtube, they won’t work. There’s a fix for that, but it’s slower than getting some usable videos right away.

I use this online tool http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/
