Hi, after a long time promoting, helping & guiding people with Blender pythion scripts, I am leaving.
I feel I can no longer do what I have done for years, without constant interference & the blocking of my work.
This has caused much distress to me & to others whom I will no longer be helping.
Sorry, but for over a year now I have been slowly pushed out.
Everything I do questioned & harrassed at every point.
As a voulenteer, I don’t need to be treated poorly.
Congrat’s to mindrones, you finally wore me down now I am gone.

I’ve seen several of your scripts in the default Add-ons, and the ones I’ve tried are awesome.
well, if you do stop making scripts, I’ll be looking for your renders in the Artwork forums
How are they wearing you down exactly and what do you want to do that you say they are blocking?
If it’s because you resist to have a discussion with them on the best way to handle the addons system and Python API and insist that only your way is the best then I would agree with Mindrones and others.
If it’s because the addons you want included into Blender aren’t being included due to the functionality being very simple (some of the stuff like ‘add spindle’, then it’s just a matter of combining such scripts into one instead of spamming the add-ons menu with a bunch of simple one-trick scripts, in this case it could just be something like ‘add generic shape’ and set what you want in the N-key menu)
It would also be helpful to just talk to them about how you feel about stuff like that if you haven’t tried already.

If you love what you’re doing then don’t stop, by all means leave the community if you feel it’s negatively effecting you, but keep up what you’re doing, because you’re very good at it!

I really dont understand what it is that others have been doing that makes you want to leave but you seem upset.
If there is something wrong then at least talk about it so we can try to fix it.
If someone is giving you a bad time here for some reason then we wont allow that as a community.
Perhaps you should contact the BA mods or even Big Ton and discuss your issues.

It’s not something that happened on these forums, but a longstanding disagreement on how to manage addons.
I am happy to move on, I’ve done my time with scripts, there’s still a great python team & I am sure Addons is in good hands.
I expect to see many good addons in the future & look forward to them.
Hey Meta, Sad to see you leave, but I guess everyone does at some point or other. Thanks for all the effort you put into addons and helping people learn how to do everything. Hopefully we’ll be able to find someone to replace you…
Sad day… Yes, for quite some years now, you have been the driving force to see to it that great scripts don’t simply disappear. Your efforts in tirelessly documenting them was very much appreciated as where your different script bundles. I you need a prolonged break from the ungratefullness of community work, I can well understand and wish you all the best for your more artistic endeavours. You will be sorely missed, my friend…

Is it me or has this been happening alot latly, us old hands are moving on to other things latly, mainly because of arguments and ungreatful people (im certainly heading that way limiting my online time and trying to avoid the irc rooms and these forumns) it becoming quite upsetting that this is happening
