If/when this happens will this change your use of google? Will you switch to a new search engine (if you use google a lot)? Or will you just get Ad/Flash blockers like many people in the comments section suggested they would do?
For me it depends on how they pull it off and how intrusive the ads are.

According to a Google engineer in the Slashdot comments they’re to be small and non-intrusive, which really doesn’t bother me, since I don’t have dial-up and as already mentioned ad blocking is really really easy.
