My son wrote an incredible story and I intend to animate it. I am taking my time to do the best possible work that I can on this project. I intend to render it completely in Cycles and really dial in animation timing, lip syncing, the whole deal. Here is Coach - the first character made for the short film. He is a work in progress but mostly need to finish out his wardrobe. His “skirt” will be a kilt but haven’t made the textures yet.
I liked! Looks very funny!
Just watch out the scope of the project, an animation with lip syncing, are you sure of that?
Thank you
I intend to use minimal shape keys but want to push myself with a more serious project scope. I’ve done mediocre work so far with regards to my animations and believe I can pull this off. The difficult concepts I have struggled with grasping for years now are all seeming so easy as of late. So it’s time to push further into the next tier.
There will be 5 characters total and probably 5-6 scenes. The story is done, storyboard drawn, and voice actors ready to record. All that’s left is pushing and pulling a few million vertices.
After some test renders with shape keys and his rig I needed to rework a few things topology wise. His kilt was gonna kill me on animation time so he has a new wardrobe that will make it MUCH easier to work with. 4 more characters to make, currently have “Dad” sculpted and need to remesh him at this point. Slow but getting it done.
