Spent a while modelling this console mainly for practice again, but coundl’t help jumping to materials even though it’s missing some major details.
I wonder if there’s any good solution to loopcutting to add fine details like the speaker holes in my case. I was thinking about splitting the mesh at the face holding the extra detail and using crease ~=1 to make it appear continuous. Any beter solutions?
Skydome seems to be actually giving better results faster than ambient occulsion, but I lose all textures like that. I tried googling around for a specific blender2yafray texture tutorial but haven’t found anything. Dear lazyweb, any pointers?
