Gradient texture on 3d bevel curve

Hi Guys,

I am struggling with gradients on curves at the moment. I have a series of curves with which I want to apply a gradient, easy enough. However at the moment the gradient coordinates are being applied to the individual strands whereas I want the texture coordinates to work off the whole object. So the gradient is uniform to the object and not the individual splines. Attached screenshot may help explain…

Appreciate any advice.

can you explain in detail what do you have in mind when you say you ‘want the texture coordinates to work off the whole object’?

Where does the gradient starts, where does it ends, which direction do you want the gradient follow? Does the gradient still needs to follow the curves, or just use the object space?

Or if possible, post an image or two that shows your goals.

Sure thing, so at the moment the gradient works on each individual curve. I don’t want this, I want the gradient to start in the centre of the object where all the curves originate and fan out radially so treating all curves as one object rather than individually. Does that make sense?
At the moment you can see the smaller curves in the centre have a gradient of their own and make the central area look darker in places.
