I’ve been trying to download some experimental builds of blender for the last few days from www.graphicall.org No matter which version I try to down load it fails after a few seconds (20 or so megs) I’ve tried it on various machines/os and locations with no luck, does anyone know if the site is down or broken in some way?
Sounds like you should ask the folks in Support / Other Software for this issue. Besides, why would we know if the site is broken down or something? We don’t own Graphicall. If that site has a contact/report feature, then you should ask them first about what’s going on.
I could give you a few reasons as to why my question may be pertinent to this forum.
The site doesn’t have any specific contact method other than social media (which I have also tried)so thought I’d fire a message on the ever helpful blender artists forum…you are correct though, why would you know…if I were you I’d save yourself some typing in the future buddy.
Again, perhaps you should have posted this on the Support / Other Software section of the forum. Off topic is for topics that are unrelated to Blender, while the section I just mentioned is frequented by people who are experts in that department. You should do some quick studying up on how to read first so you can tell the difference. Perhaps you could save yourself some typing in the future buddy.
You’re right about doing “some quick studying up” There are two support areas on the forums, Technical Support…
“Questions and answers related to technical support with Blender”…nope my original question isn’t right for that…next…Blender Artists Website Support “Questions and answers about this forum”…again, wouldn’t really be right would it now.
Lets move onto “Other Software” as you suggested…“Questions and answers about other software useful in combination with Blender”, last time I checked GraphicAll.org was neither Blender specific nor a piece of software, most people like to refer to it as a WEBSITE.
So finally we arrive at this section of the forum, Off-topic Chat…“Discuss things not related to Blender or computer graphics. Biggest rule is be nice and play well with each other” GraphicAll.org is definitely not specifically Blender related so a big tick there and if you scan down through the existing posts in this section you’ll see a wide variety of posts, some leaning towards the more technical, some not so much. Pretty much what the section is here for.
Ultimately I simply asked if a website was working or not, a website that more than a few people on here use. Whether it’s for Blender or otherwise. Had my original post been made by someone else and I’d read it, either I’d have ignored it if I didn’t know or had nothing constructive to say or replied in a helpful manner.
Anyway, you couldn’t be a little poppit and go check to see if the website is working for you or not could you?
>Goes instantly from zero to offended in a couple posts

Yup. Found the Tumblr user. If I wanted to argue with morons from Tumblr, I’d actually be on Tumblr. I’m not even gonna bother to reply to this anymore as it’s a waste of time. Have fun struggling.
