Okay I’ve finished my exams now so i’ve got LOADS of free time on my hands!!! More time for blender!!!
So anyway i’ve been playin Peter Rylanders Hellstation game quite a bit lately, good game but it seems to cause some strange graphics problems on my computer. For instance the texture for the doors gets covered with diagnal white lines whenever I look at a door from certain angles. And that seems to happen on several wall skirtings as well. I know blender doesn’t work very well with some graphics cards but I don’t have trouble with it normally, and I’ve got a fairly standard graphics card.
Anyone know whats causing this problem?
I’ve got a nVidia GeForce 4 MX440 graphics card with 128MB on-board RAM.
there is something white behind the door (don’t know what) and your card can’t tell if for those pixels the door or the white thing is nearest the camera.
it may look better if you try running in 32 bit color (therby increasing depth precision to 32 bit?) but I wouldn’t know.
to avoid creating situations like this it is necescary to try to avoid putting geometry too close together, like for doors that can’t be opened, still create the doorway.
Hmm, thats is a strange problem that some of my frends noticed on their machines too. I belive that they also has Geforce 4 mx cards. To me it sounds like the card has problem deciding what geometri is behind and whats in the front. Maybe if you try to increase the Z-buffer in your OpenGL settings.
Otherwise I don’t know what’s causing this problem.
