Grease Pencil Glow effect how to show up in Blender 5.2

Hi everyone — I’m trying to get the Grease Pencil Glow effect to show up in Blender 5.2, and I’m stuck.

Copilot helped me form the question so here’s the output , edited so It’s not derp

Glow appears in the Effects panel in Blender 5.2 (Object Data → Effects → Add → Glow), but:

• It does NOT show in the viewport (Rendered mode, Eevee)
• It does NOT show in final render
• It does NOT show even in a minimal test file (just a GP Blank + one stroke + Glow)

I used both Cycles and EEVEE.

Nothing shows up.

Copilot mentioned it could be a version issue and this not being implemented yet.

Working in 5.3 Eevee, display and render.

Threshold must be set low for luminance mode.

Do you have some thickness set in Stroke Thickness?

It is also important to have some tint colour (other than black)

Copilot doesn’t know how to use Blender.
