That renderer took me like 2 hours. No more!!! I thought I’d miss the contest’s deadline! Whew! I reached 800k verticle counts. Yucky! However it is a pure entry. No postprocessing or whatsoever. I didn’t have time to put textures on, but that’s ok. Modeling part was fun to do.
That’s definetely a representative piece of architecture that fits perfectly to the W.C. #100 contest theme…
I only have just one comment:
If I were you I wouldn’t choose the ground to be reflective… I would either try to give it a more “groundish” appearance, or in case you necessarilly have to have it reflecting the temple, I would use some marble texture, to give it a bit more “realistic” touch… But in any case this is just an opinion of mine, I don’t necessarily need to be right on this one…
What is it sitting on? Magic dirt? Is it a model of a temple? I’m confused. Looks like you used a low-sample AO as well - would be nice to see one with it bumped up. Good entry!
Only if I had more time to adjust it before the WC’s deadline, I’d do it. I know there are many things I would like to fix… but my rendering time surprisely takes forever to render that one.
My AO sample was set to 10. Argh. Oh well.
Thanks for your comments. I appreciate that and I agree with you all! Thanks again.
