grid scale and imperial scale issue

  1. I would like to figure out my issues with basic knowledge of modeling and texturing to move on to rendering and compositing but, I Think this may have
    been my issues.

My topology issues have been fixed by ( shift v ) vertice slide . At the time before I new that, my vertices were causing little bumps in and out in my mesh no matter if I used global and normal axis .

camera and texture quality for image spacing and camera settings . In the pictures below I see cam settings say millimeters and field of view options along with texture space option for your UV . I think this may have been why my textures seemed so zoomed in at times or unclear even with 1024 texture or higher. , as for camera options, like cannon or blender presets , shutter and focal length. I guess though by camera it automatically changes settings for that option but then don’t I have to figure out real world focal length for quality on rendering?

why does my planks say spacing of 4 inches and 4 feet depending on perspective and ortho view, shouldnt it be saying 1 foot and 1 inch because of the 1 subdivision spacing between them with imperial scale.

cant delete this box, question, pics and file below on real world scale and would lens and image spacing cause issues with uv and quality viewing after render when I have a 1024 texture or higher applied.
